Looking back at my last post, nearly SIX years ago, I suppose I was wrong. Y’all did NOT get to ‘see me on the other side of my move’. Unfortunately, nearly all of my possessions wound up in a storage unit during that time, including my dyeing supplies, and I had very few opportunities to work on my business.
Fast forward through 3 more moves, entry into my career, multiple job changes within that company, and finally – FINALLY – I’m in a place where launching my long-dreamed-of fiber arts business is within the realm of possibility.
My goal is to provide high-quality luxury fibers and yarns to the fiber arts community. Over the past several years, I’ve collected quite a bit of yarn and fiber to use for this launch, but I have not secured a long-term supplier for many of the products. I intend to use this ‘hodgepodge’ of yarns and fiber to test the market, see what people like, and develop colorways. Over time, I will settle into a standard set of offerings, with the occasional ‘Limited Run’ of special fibers.
For the immediate future, I am planning a dye day on 6/1/2021 – my next post will show the results of that test run.
I am so excited to be back on track, and cannot wait to begin dyeing inventory for launch!
